Since 2024, YouSud has been supporting the Ambohitsiroa Public Primary School, located in a small rural village 40 km from Antananarivo, which welcomes around 150 children from families living in extreme poverty and geographical isolation.
The access roads are dirt tracks and often become impassable during the rainy season, making the daily journey to school difficult and tiring for many children. Public services are virtually non-existent and the local economy is based on subsistence farming.
Thanks to the support of the French association Maraudes des Footeuses, we have completed the first phase of renovation and built the perimeter wall.
Our goal is to build a school canteen that will provide all children with healthy and consistent nutrition. To this end, thanks to the support of volunteers and parents, we have begun work on creating school gardens.
