Here in Antananarivo they call them maraudes, but for us it's street food: evening outings to distribute hot meals to those living on the streets. The name is no coincidence: Street Food evokes the idea of street food, but in our case we actually take the food OUT onto the streets, where it is most needed. It is a simple and direct name that perfectly sums up our spirit: sharing a hot meal, creating a moment of encounter and restoring a little normality to those who are often forgotten.
Thanks to the support of donors and volunteers, we prepare and distribute food to the city's homeless population—which is very large.
With"Armando,"our little minibus, we travel the streets of Tanà together with a group of local volunteers. Not only do we bring food and distribute blankets during the cold months, but above all, we try to build human connections.
